On Monday, UCLA Associate Athletic Director Josh Rebholz announced in a tweet that UCLA football fall camp would begin in “37 days”. That roughly puts the start of camp on Thursday, August 1, exactly four weeks before the beginning of the season.

It was estimated that this year, the Bruins would have to start camp a few days early as their season has been moved up two days. Originally, UCLA was supposed to play at Cincinnati on Saturday, August 31, but that game has since been moved to Thursday, August 29 at 4 p.
