UCLA coach Jim Mora has suspended junior cornerback Ishmael Adams from the team indefinitely following his arrest on suspicion of felony robbery.
Adams was detained by UCLA police early Sunday morning after he allegedly used force to steal a cell phone from an Uber driver. He was released from jail on Tuesday at 6:24 a.m., more than 48 hours after he was originally taken into custody, according to the Los Angeles County Sherrif's Department's website. He posted bond, which was listed at $100,000.
Mora announced the suspension after practice Tuesday. Adams will not play in the season opener on Saturday against Virginia.
