UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen is likely out for the rest of the season with a severe shoulder sprain that resulted in nerve damage, Bruin Report Online reported Tuesday, citing anonymous sources.
Bruins coach Jim Mora, who first mentioned Rosen was dealing with a nerve issue last week, specifically denied nerve damage Tuesday, and did not rule Rosen out for the rest of the year.
Rosen “is a tough son of a gun,” the coach said Tuesday on a regular Pac-12 teleconfernce, and Mora put “nothing past Josh with regards to what his future looks like this year.
