LOS ANGELES – Jim Mora’s brief comment Wednesday morning after spring practice was subtle, simple and perhaps more telling about how UCLA’s offense might look in 2016 compared to last year.
Asked if the offensive playbook for the coming season is smaller than past seasons as the team transitions out of the spread, Mora mused “We have a playbook now,” he said. “When you run the spread, you’re usually making calls on the go.
“Now there will be more specific and detailed plays that we run. Every offense is different in the plays they call. Ours will be more detailed.
