UCLA CB Ishmael Adams to face misdemeanor battery charge

The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office filed a misdemeanor charge of battery on Monday against UCLA cornerback Ishmael Adams.

In August, Adams was arrested for allegedly using force to steal an Uber driver's cell phone and was indefinitely suspended from the team as a result.

He was reinstated before the Bruins' Pac-12 opener at Arizona on Sept. 26 when prosecutors from the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office declined to file felony charges.

The case was then referred to the city attorney's office.

Adams is scheduled to be arraigned in LosAngeles Superior Court on Nov.
