If both the women’s and men’s UCLA basketball teams would have beaten their respective USC opponents this weekend, that would have given UCLA 1,000 collective wins over their crosstown rival.
Instead, the results of this past weekend have both Bruins squads licking their wounds after both got upended by the Trojans. Clearly, it was not a good weekend for UCLA basketball.
On Saturday, the men were embarrassed at the Galen Center as USC put on an 80-67 beat down. On Sunday, the last place Trojans surprised Cori’s Close’s team at Pauley Pavilion with a 72-67 win.
