If there is something that can bring together Cal and UCLA -- even in the middle of game against each other, apparently -- it's their mutual dislike of USC. That common bond is what led to the schools' bands to join forces to re-enact the Trojan War at halftime Thursday night.
UCLA first performed what it refers to as the "Downfall of Troy Show," in 1984 and again in 1986, but has since showed up once every four years since 1991, including a co-performance with Washington in 1999.
The two bands gathered at Jackie Robinson Stadium, the Bruins' baseball field, and ran through the routine three times Thursday afternoon.
