What a weekend for UCLA Baseball. First they get a no-hitter, then they win the Pac-12 Championship after sweeping the Arizona Wildcats. Could this weekend get any better for UCLA Baseball? Well, at the expense of their crosstown rival, yes, but we will get into that soon enough.
The historical weekend started off on Friday night at Jackie Robinson Stadium when the Bruins needed extra innings to take down Arizona in the first of the three game series. Through nine innings, UCLA pitcher James Kaprielian had a no-hitter and was replaced by David Berg who pitched a perfect inning in the top of the 10th that sealed the combo no-hitter for the Bruins.
