That’s because the 2019 Early Signing Period begins today!
For the second year in a row, college football begins its Early Signing Period today and recruits can officially sign their National Letters of Intent today, instead of waiting until February.
Of course, some recruits will still opt to wait until February. Some folks, like SB Nation’s Alex Kirschner believe as many as 70% of all recruits will sign between now and Friday. Like last year, we won’t know for sure until the Early Signing Period closes on Friday, although it’s safe to assume that Chip Kelly and staff will need to continue working hard to finish the UCLA Bruins recruiting class because they are only expected to sign about 13 players during the next few days.
