Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested by the UCLA Police Department on Monday, a department source confirmed to the Register.
The source declined to provide additional information, but said more details would be released later this afternoon.
TMZ Sports first reported earlier Monday that Combs (P. Diddy) had been taken into custody after an altercation with an unnamed UCLA assistant coach during a strength and conditoning workout. Combs' son, Justin Combs, is an incoming junior defensive back. He appeared in four games last season, primarily on special teams.
According to the TMZ report, Sean Combs grabbed the UCLA assistant in his office after the coach had screamed at the younger Combs during the workout.
