The fine folks over at Forbes issued their annual list of top 100 highest paid athletes this week, spotting UCLA’s very own Russell Westbrook at No. 12 overall. Westbrook, who played for UCLA from 2006-2008, reportedly earned $56M over the past 365 days.
Westbrook’s earnings come from $29M worth of his salary and bonuses and another whopping $27M in endorsements.
He was traded to the Houston Rockets a year ago, after spending the first 11 seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Heading over with him was the five-year extension he signed with the Thunder back in 2017 that was worth a total of $207M, the NBA’s largest contract ever.
