Sean “Diddy” Combs, who was arrested on Monday at UCLA’s athletic complex on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, was acting in self defense, according to a statement issued by a representative from Combs Enterprises.
Combs, whose son Justin Combs is a junior cornerback for the Bruins, was arrested shortly after 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Acosta Athletic Training Complex over an alleged assault involving a kettle bell, according to UCLA police. There were no serious injuries, the police said.
Multiple media reports said Combs was involved in an altercation with Sal Alosi, UCLA’s strength and conditioning.
