A wide swath of Southern California will now be able to watch Pac-12 Conference games after the conference announced Thursday it had reached a deal with Frontier to carry the Pac-12 Network.
Frontier will net the conference nearly 500,000 new subscribers, Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott told reporters, though the conference has made no progress in its stalemate with DirecTV.
“Frontier is a major add for our Southern California fans,” Scott said. “We will keep knocking on the door and pushing as hard as we can” with DirecTV.
Scott said the Pac-12 had also reached agreements with Comcast and Cox to carry the main Pac-12 Network instead of one of the conference’s six regional carriers, giving fans better access to high-profile games.
