A top Orange County football prospect is set to join the UCLA football team.
Longtime fan Cade Spinello, of Ladera Ranch, signed a letter of intent with the Bruins, according to Patrick Girardi, the director of player personnel, while he was visiting campus over the weekend.
Spinello, 9, is legally blind and is living with a brain tumor. He has stopped by practices in the past to spend time with players and even taking part in drills.
Girardi published a photo on Twitter, where Spinello is shaking Coach Jim Mora's hand.
