It didn’t take any time at all for the UCLA Athletics Department to showcase some of the history-making news that the hiring of Martin Jarmond brought with it. Jarmond is assuming his new role on or before July 1, taking the previously-held position of 18 years by Dan Guerrero.
Agreeing to a six-year contract with a base salary of $1,030,000, and a signing bonus of $339,900, Jarmond is more than just a new millionaire. And he’s not just made history by being hired at UCLA.
He became the youngest athletic director of a Power-5 school when he joined Boston College in 2017.
