SANTA ANA – Police were called to a parking lot in the 200 block of Warner Avenue, near Birch Street, after 911 callers reported gunfire shortly after midnight Tuesday, April 11, authorities said.
“Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with a gunshot wound to his upper torso,” Commander Jeffrey Smith said.
Paramedics declared the man dead at the scene.
“No suspects have been identified at this time, but a white SUV was seen speeding away from the location,” Smith said.
Investigators have not determined a motive for the slaying, but said it does not appear to be gang-related.
