Kaprielian Pitches UCLA Baseball Past Cal State Bakersfield 7-2

UCLA's ace keeps the Roadrunners in check during UCLA's opening game in the Los Angeles Regional while the offense scores in six straight innings to defeat CSU Bakersfield 7-2.

UCLA Head Coach John Savage sent his ace James Kaprielian to the hill last night against Cal State Bakersfield and Kaprielian delivered.

He threw 93 pitches over 7 innings while holding the Roadrunners to 5 hits, 1 walk and 2 runs to earn the victory in the Bruins' opening game of the Los Angeles Regional at Jackie Robinson Stadium. Grant Dyer pitched a perfect 8th inning and David Berg struck out the side in the 9th to close out the game.
