Ishmael Adams: suspended UCLA CB won’t face felony charges

UCLA’s Ishmael Adams avoided felony charges stemming from a robbery arrest on Aug. 30 this year.

The first-team All-Pac-12 cornerback from 2014 was suspended indefinitely following the incident in which he allegedly took a cell phone by force from an Uber driver. After reviewing the evidence from the robbery, the Los Angeles District Attorney couldn’t find evidence to support felony charges.

We reviewed and found insufficient evidence for felony filings, so we referred it to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s offices for misdemeanor filings review,” said Jane Robison, spokesperson for the Los Angeles District Attorney, via ESPN.
