It’s strange to come out of any loss with a sense of hope, but following last week’s loss to the Washington Huskies, the UCLA Bruins suddenly seem to be a team with a new lease on life. They’re still in search of their first win, which makes the upcoming game against the UC Berkeley Golden Bears all that more important. While a bowl game is still (technically) in reach, the Bruins are very much in the development phase of the process, and showing growth from the previous game may be the most important outcome.
That said, this is still a rivalry game, and one the Bruins would love to win, especially with so many of the players on the team returning to Northern California where they played high school football.
