It’s been a long two weeks since the Bruins played Fresno State, but it’s finally game day. And, what a time those two weeks have been! The bye week started off with the father of the Bruins’ starting quarteback blasting Chip Kelly on Twitter while backup QB Devon Modster announced that he will transfer from UCLA and center Zach Sweeney apparently suffered a shoulder injury so significant that he decided to medically retire. Then, Chip Kelly told the media that, while Wilton Speight may have been named the starting quarterback for the season opener, he wasn’t guaranteed to get that job back when he is healthy enough to play.
