On November 27, 2017, the UCLA Bruins formally introduced Chip Kelly as the Bruins’ announced as the 17th head coach in program history. The day we have all waited for since then is finally here. The Cincinnati Bearcats are in town for the first game of the Chip Kelly era, it’s also the first game of the 100th season of UCLA football.
In the first 99 seasons, UCLA’s record is 577-399-37 in 1,013 games. That’s good for a .588 winning percentage.
But, more important, it’s a new day for Bruin football.
Kelly has brought his “Win the day” and “Tempo” philosophies with him, which means that we should see a better brand of Bruin football and it all starts today.
