LOS ANGELES – For UCLA quarterbacks coach Marques Tuiasosopo, patience is a virtue in both football and gardening. The team’s offense – and quarterback Josh Rosen – got off to an inconsistent start to the season, but the Bruins (2-2, 0-1 Pac-12) are sticking to the system and waiting for beautiful results to bloom.
“It’s like watering bamboo,” Tuiasosopo said. “You water it for the first few months and it doesn’t grow. And you’re wondering what the heck’s going on and all of the sudden, it just sprouts out and you can’t stop it from growing.
