SANTA CLARA - Nebraska rushed for 326 yards and rallied from an early 14-point deficit to beat UCLA, 37-29, in the Foster Farms Bowl on Saturday night before 33,527 at Levi’s Stadium.
The Bruins (8-5) took a 21-7 lead on Josh Rosen’s 26-yard touchdown pass to Nate Starks with 7:55 left in the second quarter, but Nebraska (6-7), which didn’t even meet the minimum win total to qualify for a bowl game, used a dominant ground game to reel off the next 30 points.
The teams were tied at 21 at halftime, but UCLA had the ball for just 2:46 in the third quarter, gaining 1 yard on six plays while Nebraska rolled up 208 yards.
