Final-day additions help UCLA complete recruiting class deep on size, strength

LOS ANGELES – Following a loss to Nebraska in the Foster Farms Bowl in Santa Clara, Jim Mora sat in a Levi’s Stadium press room and focused on his program’s shortcomings.

“We need to get bigger, obviously,” Mora said. “We need to get stronger, obviously.”

His reasons were clear. The Cornhuskers, a physical team from the Big Ten, ran for 326 yards, the third team in 2015 to eclipse at least 300 yards on the ground against the Bruins. Similar opponents posed the same problems. Under Mora, UCLA also remains winless against Stanford, a team it has not beaten since 2007.
