LAGUNA BEACH Chris Herzfeld, who has been principal at Laguna Beach High School for three years, has asked for reassignment at the school as a teacher. He is stepping down at the end of the school year, district officials said Friday.
Laguna Beach Unified School District trustees approved the reassignment during Tuesday’s board meeting, said Leisa Winston, assistant superintendent of human resources.
“We are still in the midst of staffing for 2017-18, so we have not yet determined his teaching assignment,” Winston said. “He is credentialed to teach social studies at the secondary level (middle or high school).
