LOS ANGELES – The parallels look similar.
Last season, UCLA, once comfortably a top-10 team, stumbled twice in early October to Utah and Oregon and dropped out of the top 25 as a result.
Yet again, the Bruins have fallen twice this month, this time to Pac-12 foes Arizona State and Stanford.
In almost identical fashion, a team that had climbed as high as No. 7 in the polls is left unranked after Week 8.
“One thing is try to stay the course if you believe the course is the right course, and we do,” UCLA coach Jim Mora said.
