Bruins have tamed Wildcats recently, but Arizona hopes to take advantage of UCLA's defensive losses

The two least-efficient performances for Rich Rodriguez’s offense during his Arizona tenure came at the hands of UCLA.

The first was in 2012, when the Wildcats visited the Rose Bowl and were crushed, 66-10. The offense accounted for one mid-third quarter touchdown, a 2-yard run by Ka’Deem Carey, and averaged 3.67 yards per play that night.

It was a familiar scene for Rodriguez’s bunch in Pasadena last year, too. Arizona mustered just 3.23 yards per play in a 17-7 loss, and Jim Mora improved to 3-0 against Rodriguez since both coaches began leading Pac-12 programs in 2012.
