There really was not any other option for the UCLA Football team in the newest AP Top 25 rankings. Last week, the Bruins were ranked 18th in the nation, but after getting trounced by Stanford (for the eighth consecutive game in a row), UCLA has dropped out of the rankings.
With little wiggle room to move around in the polls, the Bruins did not do themselves any favors in a one-sided battle last Thursday. There were many things that contributed to this loss (injuries, penalties, officials, etc.) but the bottom line is that the Bruins are now 4-2 overall and 1-2 in conference.
