Arizona's running backs found plenty of holes in UCLA's defense

The plainly visible wart that UCLA was stuck with following its 56-30 win at Arizona was the run defense.

Though it routed the Wildcats and carried a four-touchdown lead at halftime, the defense gave up 353 rushing yards, a fact not lost on Coach Jim Mora, who called the performance “inconceivable” and “unacceptable” after the game.

It had been awhile since they had been blistered quite like that. The last time the Bruins had allowed so many rushing yards in a game was on Dec. 3, 2005, when they surrendered 430 yards to a USC backfield led by Reggie Bush and LenDale White in a 66-19 loss.
