LOS ANGELES – When UCLA resumes practice Tuesday in preparation for its next showdown with Washington State, it will try to get ready for an offense that looks little like the one it faced last Saturday in Corvallis.
The Cougars throw the ball an average of 57 times per game, more than any team in the country.
“They pass the ball pretty much every play,” junior linebacker Jayon Brown said.
By contrast, Oregon State attempts an average of 29 passes per game and is far more likely to run the ball. Only two teams in the Pac-12 throw less often.
