As first reported by Evan Daniels of 247Sports, 2019 combo guard Grant Sherfield asked for his release from the letter of intent he signed with the UCLA Bruins, and the school granted the request. Sherfield is a composite 3-star recruit according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
On the whole, this isn’t surprising. The firing of a head coach always leads to these sorts of decisions, and with Sherfield being a native of Wichita, Kansas, it makes complete sense that he would choose to reopen his recruitment.
