The lowest seed to ever win the NCAA Tournament was Villanova in 1985 when the Wildcats were an 8 seed, but the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers are going to have a chance to make history as they easily defeated Kansas State yesterday, 78-62. Ben Richardson led the Ramblers with 23 points. Loyola has now won 14 games in a row and 21 of their last 22. Can they win two more? We’ll find out next weekend when they play in the Final Four.
Their Final Four opponent will be the Michigan Wolverines who defeated Florida State, 58-54, to advance to the national semifinal game next Saturday.
