The Michigan Wolverines have gone all-in on 4-star Avon Old Farms (CT) tight end Chris Clark, and their intense recruitment strategy could leave the UCLA Bruins look elsewhere for prospects in advance of National Signing Day.
Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh and passing game coordinator Jedd Fisch made an in-home visit to Clark last week, and things appear to have gone exceedingly well in the Wolverines' favor.
Here's 247Sports' Clint Brewster with the scoop:
Wolverine247 spoke with a direct source about the visit and we were told that the coaches feel "great" about Clark at this time and the visit couldn't have gone any better.
The Michigan coaches are confident they will get a commitment from Clark next Tuesday when he decides on ESPNU. The coaches are telling Clark that he's their top target overall in the 2015 class, which makes sense the way that Harbaugh uses the tight end.
Clark's parents are also reportedly in favor of him attending Michigan (he committed and decommitted from UM already, mind you), so there are a lot of hurdles for UCLA to clear in order to sway Clark their way.
Stay tuned.
