Five-star Plano (TX) Plano West running back Soso Jamabo has chosen to play his college football with UCLA, announcing his signing with the Bruins over fellow finalist Texas. Texas A&M and Notre Dame were also said to be in the running until the very end of his process.
Ranked as the #2 running back in all of the nation by 247Sports (and the #32 player overall), the Texas Longhorns originally led in the race for Jamabo, but it's UCLA who will have him in their backfield come the 2015 season.
Jamabo stands at 6-foot-2.5, 210 pounds, and could be an instant star for the Bruins with the natural talent and athletic prowess he possesses. He's a true home run threat who's able to turn seeming two-yard gains into 80-yard gashes on the drop of a dime.
"They've got a great quarterback," Jamabo said, after telling the world that the 'University of California Los Angeles' was his first and second choice.
Stay tuned to Chat Sports and our UCLA Bruins team page for more on Jamabo's decision as the day progresses.
