Just five minutes into the basketball game, UConn sucked the wind out of UCF's sails with the return of 7-foot center Amida Brimah and a smothering man-to-man defense that triggered a 17-0 run from which the Knights never recovered.
UCF went on to suffer a 67-41 loss Sunday at CFE Arena before an announced crowd of 6,414 fans.
Brimah represented a missing puzzle piece for the four-time national champion Huskies (15-6 overall, 5-3 American Athletic Conference) and a fracture for the Knights (10-9 overall, 4-4 AAC), who stumbled to their third consecutive defeat.
