Speedy receiver Tre Nixon, who spent the past two seasons at Ole Miss before transferring to UCF in January, is immediately eligible to play this season after receiving a waiver from the NCAA according to a report which was confirmed by a team source.
USA Today’s Dan Wolken was the first to report the news from Nixon’s attorney, Tom Mars.
The former Viera High star was among a handful of former Rebels seeking a waiver from the NCAA including safety Deontay Anderson (Houston) and Jarrio Street (UAB). All three have been cleared to play in 2018.
