Shaquem Griffin got the “Today” show treatment Monday, and if Savannah Guthrie were an NFL coach there’s little doubt the ex-UCF’s star would be a top pick in Thursday’s draft.
“I love that he said, ‘Don’t call me a one-handed wonder. Just call me by my name,’” Guthrie said.
After segments on Donald Trump, female infertility and tonight’s edition of “The Voice,” the show ran Craig Melvin’s segment on Griffin, whose story has resonated far beyond the football field.
Fans in Orlando are familiar with it – how Griffin was born with a rare condition known as amniotic band syndrome which prevented his fingers from growing properly.
