Just how bad is the injury report for UCF football? Well, the Knights are three injured players shy from fielding an 11-man lineup on the sidelines.
As if the sting of a 16-15 loss to FCS Furman wasn't enough, UCF will likely be forced to compete for the rest of the 2015 season without its most experienced receiver. Sophomore Jordan Akins, who has seven collegiate starts on his résumé, is out indefinitely due to a right knee injury. UCF coach George O'Leary said the early prognosis is that Akins suffered an ACL injury.
The news comes just two weeks after the Knights saw starting quarterback Justin Holman leave the Stanford game after the first drive with a broken right index finger.
