Gabriel, who leads the country with 3,353 passing yards and 30 touchdowns this season, was one of 17 players named a Davey O’Brien Award semifinalist. The award is presented to the top quarterback in the country. He was also among the 18 players who made the semifinal cut for the Maxwell Award, given to the college football playoff of the year.
Williams was among 11 semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award, presented annually to the top receiver in college football. The senior, who is skipping the Knights’ bowl game to prepare for the NFL draft, is third in the country with 1,039 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
