UCF coach Donnie Jones saw exactly what he's hoping to eventually see from his young basketball team Tuesday night at CFE Arena.
Unfortunately, the patience and leadership he desires was being put on display by visiting George Washington. The senior-laden Colonials used a deliberate offensive attack and a hawking man-to-man defense as they took the young Knights to school 67-50 in the final nonconference tune-up for UCF.
Senior George Washington leaders Kevin Larsen and Patricio Garino gave UCF as much as it could handle, scoring almost at will in the paint as the Knights tried a variety of ways to stop the duo.
