UCF coach George O'Leary tried his best to act surprised when asked about one-time first-team safety Jordan Franks moving to wide receiver.
When questioned about the position switch — documented by the team's online roster updated earlier this week — O'Leary originally claimed he didn't "know anything about that. " The 69-year-old maintained the charade for almost 30 seconds before his trademark brutal honesty broke up the act.
"We did move Franks, but that shouldn't be out there," O'Leary said.
The typical stress about the release of information leading up to the college football season opener is particularly heightened for UCF this season as a result of many offseason changes.
