UCF football has been preparing players for the possibility of competing at different positions as the Knights look to handle the “what-ifs” of a season impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Defensive coordinator Randy Shannon said the Knights have been experimenting with position moves to provide better depth while also getting the best players on the field.
“We’ve moved guys around because you’ve always have to prepare for the future and prepare for the what if,” Shannon said Friday during a videoconference. “We’ve done a great job on both sides of the football of different guys playing with different people.
