There's no question UCF punter Caleb Houston is the team's most valuable asset heading into the American Athletic Conference season.
Through just four games, Houston has already delivered almost half the total number of punts he booted during the 2014 season, averaging an impressive 46.8 yards per punt. He ranks No. 12 in the nation among 101 FBS-recognized punters.
Given his value combined with UCF's string of bad luck with injuries, you can understand why head coach George O'Leary was apprehensive to even mention Houston's name following the Knights' 31-14 loss to South Carolina Saturday.
"He kept us in great field position, he really has, and — knock on wood — I don't want to bring his name up with him playing so well," said a half-joking O'Leary.
