UCF quarterback coach Jeff Lebby offered a scholarship through the Sanford Seminole coaching staff to quarterback Timmy McClain on Friday, hoping the Knights’ Sanford pipeline can reach into the Class of 2021.
For McClain, who just completed his sophomore season at Seminole, it was his fourth Football Bowl Subdivision offer, with Kentucky, Louisville, Toledo entering the picture previously.
UCF already has a pair of former Sanford Seminole stars on its current roster in sophomore receiver Gabe Davis and redshirt sophomore cornerback Bam Moore. Two of McClain’s 2020 teammates TE-OL Jordan Davis, the younger brother of Gabe, and WR Zion Jackson have already committed to play for the Knights.
