UCF players spent much of last week expressing their eagerness to face a Tulsa team that used a second-half comeback to stun the Knights on the road last season. This time around, the Knights felt like things would be different.
As it had done previously in Tulsa, UCF squandered an 11-point halftime lead thanks, in part, to self-inflicted mistakes. Turnovers and penalties helped the Golden Hurricane hand the Knights their first loss of the season, earning a 34-26 over UCF in front of a limited announced crowd of 8,874 at the Bounce House.
