HOUSTON — Despite the disappointing loss, Shaquem Griffin still found a reason to smile after finding honorary cheerleader Julianna Linton in the end zone following UCF's 31-24 loss at Houston.
Linton, who is a youth cheerleader from Houston, was fitted for a bionic arm earlier this year in Orlando after UCF's College of Engineering Innovation Lab printed the 3D arm.
Griffin, who is a redshirt junior linebacker from Tampa, has played football with one hand since he was 4 years old. He delivered an especially strong game the Cougars, including 14 tackles, 2.
