The 2021 NCAA women’s basketball tournament begins Sunday in San Antonio, and UCF kicks off the competition with a matchup against Northwestern the following day.
The Knights (16-4) earned a No. 10 seed, the highest in program history, for their sixth trip to the tournament in program history. Northwestern (15-8) is seeded seventh and making its eighth appearance. The 4 p.m. ET game at St. Mary’s University will be the first meeting between the programs. ESPNU will broadcast the game.
The winner will play Wednesday against either No. 2 seed Louisville or No. 15 Marist. The NCAA tournament culminates with the national championship game April 4.
