UCF missed out on much of its spring football camp in March after the coronavirus pandemic forced schools to shut down activities.
The lost time on the football field set the Knights back when it came to the development of younger players on the roster. Many of the underclassmen had to learn the playbook via team Zoom sessions or when they returned to campus for a modified preseason camp in July.
UCF, however, now gets to use the time between the Knights’ regular-season finale against USF on Nov. 27 and the Boca Raton Bowl on Dec. 22, to develop young talent.
