UCF guard B.J. Taylor knows how to play through pain.
He could have finished No. 1 in the American Athletic Conference in minutes played as a true freshman two years ago. But he missed a few game courtesy of his former teammate, 6-foot-10, 300-plus pound Justin McBride, who accidentally elbowed him in the head during a conference game against Cincinnati.
Taylor played most of his rookie campaign coping with minor blows to the shoulder and ankle pain. He still managed to finish among to the top 10 players in the league in minutes played and was named to the conference's all-rookie team.
