As UCF kicker Daniel Obarski lined up for a 40-yard field goal attempt with 19 seconds left in the game, the Knights found themselves once again trying to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
But as Obarski’s kick veered wide left of the goal posts, UCF coach Josh Heupel’s team could only think about what had gone wrong.
UCF surrendered a double-digit halftime lead for the second consecutive game as the Knights' defense had no answers for a Memphis offense that scored 36 second-half points on its way to a 50-49 victory Saturday night at the Liberty Bowl.
